PROPOSED CHANAKYA CENTER FOR EXCELLENCE
Location – MTDC RESORT, KARLA | Client – MAHARASTRA TOURISM DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, MAHARASTRA
- Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) is a Government of Maharashtra Undertaking dedicated to expanding tourism in Maharashtra.
- MTDC is planning to develop Chanakya Center for Excellence at MTDC, Karla, Dist. Pune in Maharashtra.
- MTDC intends to develop some of these components through Government funds and Public Private Partnership (PPP). The approximate project cost would be Rs. 70/- (Rs. Seventy Crores (including Government funded & PPP works)
- Create a landmark attraction showcasing the life and teachings of Chanakya.
- Chanakya Centre theme to be related to Takshashila and the Nalanda university.
- Chanakya Statue and Museum with exhibition hall, existing facility up-gradation, Creation of New Facilities like Entrance lobby- Souvenir shop- MICE facility- 750 capacity open air theatre- MICE Admin Building-Entrance Gate-Ticket Counter and other miscellaneous works.
- The building having amenities like Green Building Concept, facilities like STP, Drainage, Rainwater Harvesting, & Solar Energy.
