Shree Vithoba Temple Located along the main Upper Bazar road of Ponda, Goa. Shree Vithoba Temple has its cultural importance. Retaining the character of the temple, restoration was carried out which included the lime plaster finishing of the walls, traditional corbelling, the plinth restoration and roof repairs in wooden members
with manglore tiles above it. The main highlight of this temple project is redesigning of the Shikhar dome to give a prominent identity based on a traditional temple
architectural elements of Goa. Traditional decorative mythological sculptures has been adorned on the octagonal wall below dome. Kaavi Art has been restored on the pilasters of the temple by using traditional material.
The internal beautification of the temple was carried out by the transformation of the marble flooring and the wooden ceiling was restored to highlight and make it prominent by providing decorative trellis work and typical Handi lights for subtle illumination. The external surrounding area of the temple has been landscaped by keeping in mind the cultural spaces for festivals like Chikhalkhana and designed grass jointed exposed laterite stone paving around it. The temple plot has exposed laterite compound wall to highlight the whole temple complex.
The unique cultural element in the form of Garud Stambha has been installed and restoration of Tulsi Vrindavaan has been done.
